Cash back for your auto gas conversion

To assist private motorists with the cost of gas conversion to their cars, the Australian Government announced the LPG Vehicle Scheme on 14 August 2006. The scheme applies equally to new or used, petrol or diesel motor vehicles (or the purchase of a new LPG vehicle).

To be eligible, the gas conversion of the car should be:

• for private use (not commercial or business use)
• a passenger or light commercial vehicle less than 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Mass
• registered in the Australian state or territory of residence of claimant
• not subject to a novated lease or salary sacrifice arrangement
