 FAQ 1: Can my car be converted to LP Gas?

A 1: Yes, in most cases it can be.

 FAQ 2: Is LP gas safe?

A 2: All fuels must be treated with respect. In most cases LPG is a lot safer than petrol.

 FAQ 3: Would running my car on LPG damage my engine?

A 3: No most certainly not. The opposite is true. Running your vehicle on LPG will actually prolong the life of your engine. Just look at the oil condition after 10,000 km’s. You will find the oil is as clean as the day you put it in 10,000 km’s ago.

 FAQ 4: Would I loose power if I convert to LPG?   

A 4: A standard air valve LPG conversion would generally lose about 10% in power this would only be noticeable under load.

No power loss at all for the superior Gas Vapour Injection (GVI) system.

 FAQ 5: What would the economy be like?

A 5:   A standard air valve LPG conversion would generally lose about 8% to 10% in economy compared to petrol.

A superior Gas Vapour Injection (GVI) system would be similar in economy to petrol counterpart.

 FAQ 6: Can I change over from one fuel to another?

A 6: Yes you can. This can be achieved at idle or when you are driving.

 FAQ 7: Do I have a gauge that indicates the LPG level?

A 7: Yes you will be provided with a flush mounted modern looking LED combination switch / gauge.

 FAQ 8: Where will the LPG tank fit?

A 8: In sedans the LPG tank will be installed under the parcel shelf in the boot. If you have a station wagon,  we can usually install the LPG tank in place of the spare wheel. For commercial vehicles and four wheel drives. The LPG tank will be mounted under the vehicle.

 FAQ 9: What size will the LPG tank be?

A 9: This will depend on the make and model of the car. Our rule is to put the largest capacity without compromising a lot of space.

FAQ 10:  Where will the filler valve be?

A 10. : This will depend on the make and model of the car. Our rule is to put the LPG filler inside the same compartment as the petrol filler.
